Classroom management is one of the most measurable levers a school can pull.

These are the figures principals bring to the board. Each one has a source.

Four questions principals are asking right now

If one of these sounds like your campus, the conversation is worth having.

How much would achievement rise if students were on task ten more hours a week?

Every campus loses instruction time to low-level disruption. Academics and discipline are the same problem.

What could you accomplish if discipline challenges dropped by seventy percent?

Strong instruction without a working management system stays undelivered. Karissa puts the system in place, and your teachers carry it forward.

Is teacher retention starting to keep you up at night?

Classroom management, or the lack of it, is the most cited reason educators leave the profession. The fix is teachable, and it is fast.

Did your last PD investment change Monday morning?

Most professional development inspires for a day, then fades. Time To Teach is built around what teachers can use in their very next class period.

This training provided the best logical presentation, on discipline I've ever had in my 23 years of teaching. I have practical ideas I can use immediately.

What your teachers take home

After one day, every teacher leaves with the same playbook, ready for the next class period.

  • How to detect and correct problems without stopping teaching
  • How to avoid power struggles and set effective limits
  • Fifteen desk arrangements for maximum performance
  • How to teach students to behave in class and in social settings
  • How to never give multiple warnings or repeated requests again
  • How to firmly but fairly carry out disciplinary actions
  • How to build trust with the most challenging students

A research synthesis of over 100 studies found that teachers' actions in their classrooms have twice the impact on student achievement as school policies regarding curriculum, assessment, or community involvement.

What the training covers

Time To Teach classroom management has five parts. Karissa teaches all five on your campus, in a half day or a full day, and every participant gets a printed handbook.

See the full agenda
  1. Self-control strategies

Teachers learn to stay calm, read the room, and prevent up to 90% of low-level disruptions.

  2. Student-teacher relationships

Ways to build trust with the most challenging students, so every student feels seen and valued.

  3. Teaching rules and procedures

Expectations taught the way academics are taught, starting with the first week of school.

  4. Responding to challenges

Five immediate steps to regain control, without repeated warnings or power struggles.

  5. Classroom ecology and arrangement

Fifteen desk arrangements and a room set up to stop problems before they start.

Never lose your cool again.

When a student challenges you in front of the class, you have about five seconds to respond. The Teacher's Diffuser Library is the cheat sheet for those five seconds: more than 50 proven phrases that end a confrontation before it begins. It's free.

  • Exact phrases for the most common student challenges
  • What to say when you don't know what to say
  • How to keep your authority without raising your voice
  • From Time To Teach, the program Karissa teaches

What teachers say after Time To Teach training

The classroom management seminar was one of the most immediately useful workshops taken to date. Even after 20 years of education!

Renee MatsonEducator, 20 years

I was going to retire this year, tired of all the nonsense and students who don't pay attention. This seminar has given me some great ideas to put into my classroom, I think I will be around a few more years. Thank you!

AliceTeacher

All the concepts and ideas presented were logical, practical, and had the best interest of all the students in mind. I really enjoyed my day and have a new outlook on classroom management. I recommend this seminar to anyone who works with children!
